Effective date: 3 August 2026
This Policy explains how B335 Green (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2025/770895/07, trading as My Green Life or MGL, processes personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (“POPIA”).

2. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with MGL, we may process:
- Names, contact details, login and account information.
- Delivery, collection, order, product, payment and refund information.
- Referral relationships, member codes, commission eligibility, Shopping Credit and ledger records.
- Communications, complaints, reviews and customer-support records.
- Website, device, security and fraud-prevention information.
- For approved company-payout applications, company registration, tax, authorised-representative, banking, proof-of-account and supporting verification information.
We do not routinely collect a date of birth or South African identity number for ordinary membership. We may request appropriate verification information when reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, legal compliance or an approved company-payout process.
3. Why we process information
We process personal information where permitted by law to:
- Create, secure and administer accounts.
- Process orders, payments, delivery, collection, returns and refunds.
- Operate the referral, commission, Shopping Credit, refill and bottle-return programmes.
- Verify eligible companies and administer approved company commission payouts.
- Provide support and operational communications.
- Detect and investigate security incidents, fraud, duplicate accounts, manipulation and abuse.
- Maintain financial, transaction and audit records and comply with legal obligations.
- Improve our products, website and services.
- Send marketing where you have consented or another lawful basis applies.
4. How we obtain information
We obtain information directly from you, through your use of the website and services, from members involved in a recorded referral relationship, and from payment, courier, communications, security and other service providers where lawful and necessary.
5. Sharing personal information
We may share only the information reasonably necessary with payment providers, banks, couriers, collection and fulfilment providers, hosting and technology providers, communications providers, professional advisers, insurers, regulators, law-enforcement bodies and other parties where required or permitted by law.
Service providers may process information only for authorised purposes and must apply appropriate confidentiality and security safeguards. We do not sell personal information.
6. Referral information
Referral relationships require limited information to be associated with introducers and referred members. Where account settings allow identity visibility, relevant information may be shown within the member hierarchy. We use shared contact, address, payment, delivery and referral-pattern information as review signals; a match does not by itself establish fraud.
7. Company-payout verification
Company-payout information is used to verify the company, its authorised representative, tax information and nominated company bank account, assess payout eligibility, prevent fraud and maintain an auditable payout history. Access is restricted to authorised personnel. Submitted and approved versions may be retained as immutable records even when details later change.
8. Direct marketing
Marketing communications are handled according to your preferences and applicable law. You may opt out using the method provided in a message or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not stop necessary account, security, order, payment, delivery, Shopping Credit or programme communications.
9. Cookies and website information
Our website may use essential cookies and similar technologies for security, authentication, baskets, preferences and website operation. Where non-essential analytics or marketing technologies require consent, we will request it through an appropriate mechanism.
10. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, an ongoing account or transaction, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, audit requirements and applicable legal, tax or record-keeping obligations. Information may be securely deleted, destroyed or de-identified when no longer required.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information and risks involved. No system is completely secure. Please protect your login details and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access or misuse.
12. International processing
Some service providers may process information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps required by POPIA to ensure that the recipient is subject to an appropriate legal basis and safeguards.
13. Your rights
Subject to POPIA and other applicable law, you may:
- Ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access to it.
- Request correction or deletion of inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out-of-date, incomplete, misleading or unlawfully obtained information.
- Object to processing in applicable circumstances.
- Withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.
- Complain to MGL or the Information Regulator.
We may request reasonable proof of identity before acting on a request. Certain records cannot be deleted where retention is required by law or needed for transactions, disputes, fraud prevention or legitimate audit purposes.
14. Information Regulator
You may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa). Current contact and complaint information is available at inforegulator.org.za.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when our practices, services or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be published or communicated through an appropriate channel.
